Andy Adams was a cattle driver down in mid-19th Century Texas, and so are the main characters in a Texas Matchmaker. In this book, the owner of a large ranch cares for his workers and gets heavily involved in their love lives. Adams portrays the touching intimacy between a group of cowboys on the old frontier.
